Today, silicon metal prices in east China remained stable.

SMM reported on September 18: Today, silicon metal prices in east China remained stable. The price of standard 553# in east China was 11,400-11,500 yuan/mt; above-standard 553# was 11,700-11,800 yuan/mt; and 421# was 12,000-12,200 yuan/mt. After the holiday, the silicon metal market transactions were average. Silicon enterprises in south-west China reported fewer inquiries recently, and downstream orders still faced price pressure. Some silicon enterprises in Sichuan and Yunnan planned to shut down furnaces in October and were unwilling to lower prices for orders. Overall, spot transactions were average, and silicon metal market prices remained stable.
